One essential oil that is the subject of controversy because of its heavy, pungent musty smell is patch oil; it is oil obtained from a perennial bush that is a native to tropical Asia and was used way back in history to pack clothes of sule to prevent moth from laying their eggs. Store your aromatherapy oils in a dark bottle away from places where the temperature may be high because it tends to destroy the essential oil if the temperature is high, a closed or a kitchen cabinet can serve as a good place for storage. Essential oils are extremely concentrated and therefore highly potent; so buying a large bottle of it can be a waste of money as opposed to buying a small bottle that can last you a long while after you dilute it. Topical application of aromatherapy products is a mode of application that should only be carried out when the oils have been tested on the skin in small amounts to determine if the skin is allergic to it or not. If you want to keep your clothes in good shape and away from insects such as moths, you can put a few drops of tea tree oil in cotton balls and place them in your drawers to keep the moths away and have a wardrobe of fresh smelling moth free days. Chase those gloomy clouds or blues away with a dash or two of lemon oil on a light bulb for a total infusion of its scent in your home or simply sip a cup of lemon tea; lemon has been discovered to be a good stimulant for the mind.
