A lot of folks smoke when they are worried. If you are one of them, you could look for other outlets for your frustrations instead so that you don’t turn to the cigarette. You might be surprised to find that you feel the urge less and less when there’s something else to occupy your mind when you are worried. More so, just being worried is counterproductive. Try as much as you can to avoid being worried all the time. Smoking is not some person you can just kick out of the door; you need a strategy, especially one that is proven to work. Some doctors advice that you quit gradually, finding alternatives as you go along. Others say that you need to do it suddenly and totally. I think you have to find a comfortable spot in there somewhere. But please do not compromise; you should STOP smoking, no matter how hard it seems. Stopping smoking for you might require that you join a group of friends and take therapy together. I didn’t think there was much potency to it until I saw it happen before my very eyes. Some dudes just got together and made themselves stop smoking. Well, its been three years since, and they are still going strong. So, this technique might work for you, if you but try it. Smoking kills, which Im sure that you know. I know also that you don’t think you can quit because the darned thing is so addictive. Sure, but you can look for a professional to help you through the process. If you find someone who knows how to bring it about, good for you. But don’t forget that the longer it takes you to stop smoking, the closer you are moving to your grave.
